Christmas memories...

Yep, by now they are all just memories. Christmas seems so long ago and I hate that I haven't posted these by now...better late than never!
Here's my tribute to my alma mater - OSU!!!
I found these adorable animal ornaments so I decided to make a tree for the girls that was a little whimsical.

Really I was just testing out my new camera!

So, if you've been reading this blog for any length of time, and by that I mean for at least a year, we are very intentional when it comes to our Christmas plans. We started it last year and continued to be home on C-mas morning. Here's the girls loot from the big man himself!

Ryan wanted in on some of the action when it came to big sis opening one of her gifts...wait for it!

Thanks Santa!!!

Kella's always trying on my sleeping mask and is always bummed that it doesn't fit, soooo what's a mom or, ah-hem Santa, to do but get her one of her own!

If you know my girl at all, you know she would live 24-7 in a princess dress. Though she has a wardrobe filled with them, the girls gotta be official. So, yes, Santa came through and fulfilled her wish list of new princess dresses.

Notice how it's now dark outside and she's STILL wearing her Snow White dress. Love it! Being home, sharing the whole day together is, well, what we create as parents. I hope these girls cherish these memories as much as we do!

What a day.

Funny story behind those tiny, princess dolls. Driving back from Oklahoma on Christmas Eve, we stopped at our usual stopping point - Love's in Atoka. Usual stop, potty break, snacks, try on sunglasses/hats/and this time they had a pink, totally legit Nascar leather coat with full-on sponsor patches in Kella's size. I had her try it on and run up to daddy saying, "Pleeeeeeezzzeee Daddy, can I get this!" Ahhh, priceless. We found a clearance table with tons of toys including these tiny princesses. As I loaded the girls, Kipp stayed behind and snagged these little jewels. Great stocking stuffers and I must say, there hasn't been too many days that we've left the house that they didn't come along.

Nebraska recap #2

This was taken on the way home from NE, Kella is always so amazed and looks for these fields of gi-norm-ous windmills. To make this L.O.N.G road trip a little more exciting, we decided to detour off on a dirt road to take a closer peek. The pic doesn't do these massive turbines justice, but K sure liked it. It was a little chilly (and really windy), so we only got a couple shots.
Kella was having a little fun with the camera & captured some pretty good shots of the day...not sure if you can tell, but Ryan props her leg on her armrest whenever we're in the car for any period of time...so cute!

We had gotten a pretty cool toy in our lunch from a bag, so I was trying to entertain by shooting it across the dash - again, Kella using her photog skills...

Santa just happen to know the girls would be a Grandma Dottie's & Poppo's house that night and left new bikes for all the girls on the front porch!!! Thanks Santa!!!!

We had a slumber party one night & Grandma & Poppo were so sweet to give up their bed so the girls could watch a flick. Up until this point Kella has had an obsession with Cinderella and hadn't even seen the movie until this night! She was hooked, to say the least!

Grandma got the girls lots of fun art projects for c-mas. These paintable bracelets were just some of their fancy creations!

Sledding in Nebraska

Yet again, I'm soooo late. As I was looking back at pictures from Dec, I realized I've yet to post pics of our c-mas trip to Nebraska.
We'd been at Kipp's parents for about 3 days and there hadn't been a drop of snow. With 2 new sleds waiting patiently to be broke in, we prayed daily for some sort of slippery, winter mix. As our last day was fast approaching we woke to this winter wonderland which had Kella grinning from ear to ear!
While Ryan napped in her soft, WARM bed, Kipp & I took Kella & our 2 nieces to Brickyard for some major sled action!
